Dog Photo Contest Rules

 
MAIN RULES
  1.  Juding of the contests will be done solely by visitors to our site. The contest are a juding of the photos (not the dog) therefore we do not care what the age of the Dog is as of today. We only care that the photo fits the guidelines set forth in the Contest Descriptions
  2. No purchase necessary in order to enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
  3. You must be 18 years or older to enter and you must be the photographer/owner of the photo or have permission from the owner.   No professional studio photos please  unless you have been given permission by the studio.
  4. If you submit a photo that is not yours and legal actions result against us from the original owner you agree to pay all fees we incur to represent ourselves including but not limited to legal and attorney fees.
  5. Winners agree to release Promo Tees and Designs from any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance or use of the prize. You agree to not hold us responsible for inaccurate, failed, erroneous, incomplete, jumbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or software programs utilized or associated with this contest or by any human error which may occur during the processing of your entry. We are not responsible for late, lost or misdirected photos sent by mail. Nor are we responsible for any technical, hardware or software malfuntions, or the lost or unavailability of network connections.
  6. By submitting photo(s) owner grants Promo Tees and Designs permission use photo(s) in promotions, on our site, as screen savers, online greeting cards, and in other manners we so desire including but not limited to items for sale. Except for the awarding of prizes won no other compensation will be given.
  7. Winning Photos may not be re-entered into the contest.
  8. Winners cannot enter the SAME dog into any of the contests during the SAME month they won in.
  9. We may have up to 9 contest running each week. It will depend on the number of entries we receive for a contest. We will not open a contest category until we have 2 or more entries.
  10. In the case of a tie the decision will be made by our staff. All decisions are final. We also reserve the right to grant prizes to both contestants in a tie but are under no obligation to do so.
  11. Except for awarding of prizes won no other compensation will be given.
  12. Prizes may not be redeemed for cash.
  13. We send out a Winners List weekly to those who join our Maillist. That is the only notification we send of winners. If you do not add yourself to the list then it is up to you to comeback and see if your PHOTO has won. We suggest you add yourself to the list if your dog is competing. You can always remove yourself after your photo has competed.
  14. If your photo has won you must email us within 30 days of winning with your ENTRY #, DOG NAME, YOUR NAME and ADDRESS information if you didn't provide it on the entry form. Failure to do so will forfeit the prize won. Prizes are mailed within 2-3 weeks from the contest END DATE or from the date your provide us with your Address info (whichever is later).
  15. Owner is responsible for any taxes due on prizes won.
  16. If  you wish to enter by Mail  send photos to:  Promo Tees and Designs, Attention: Dog Contests, P.O. Box 41952, Fredericksburg, VA  22404.  Photos cannot be returned unless you send a self-addressed stamped envelope with your entry.
  17. We reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value
  18. We have the right to limit the number or entries that compete each week in any given contest
  19. By participating, in our contest the entrants agree to all rules listed here.
ENTRY RULES
  1. Photos should NOT have or contain dogs in situations that may cause harm or endangerment to the animal.
  2. We prefer Photos that catch your dog in the act they make the best photos. We prefer not to have photo taken in dog show type stances unless it the dog's face is forward so it can be seen.
  3. Photos must be either .jpg or .gif format and no larger than 100k
  4. No altered photos. That means NO objects added or fancy borders, writing, kennel names, etc.  Photo submitted in this manner will not be submitted in the contest.
  5. We reserve the right to to crop, lighten, or resize photos.
  6. At our discretion we have the right to refuse any photo.
  7. You may select the category you wish to enter your dog in. However, if the photo is not suitable for the category we reserve the right to place your photo in a category that it fits best.
  8. Photos should have only dogs as subjects if description states (no humans please) for a particular contest.
  9. Only 1 photo per Dog may be submit into any category per week.
  10. While you are free to enter the SAME photo in different categories at the same time however, if it wins in more than 1 category that week ONLY 1 Prize will be awarded.
  11. If your photo doesn't win you can re-enter it into the contest by clicking the EDIT ENTRY button and logging in on the PHOTO CONTEST ENTRY PAGE.
  12. Winners of weekly prizes will receive one FREE Photo Keychain with their winning photo on it.  They will also advance to the BEST DOG Contest which is held monthly.
  13. Winners of the BEST DOG Monthly Contest win a FREE T-shirt or Mouse pad with their winning entry on it.
  14. In December we will choose the "BEST DOG OF THE YEAR" from among all photos that won during the current year. The winner will be posted on our site by December 15.
  15. In December we also choose the "BEST PHOTO OF THE YEAR" from among all photos received (regardless if they won or not). This photo is our personal favorite from among ALL photos submitted.
  16. Winners will be published on Promo Tees and Designs Website within 5 days after a contest ends.
